God is doing great work. Sometimes there are obstacles in the road. Obstacles that can leave you feeling low, and you don’t know how to move forward. Until you see how God is ordering your steps, so you can walk into your season.

God is doing great work, great work in you. Those are the words God gave me in my sleep. Every toss and turn, I heard those words. As I awoke, I continued to hear the words. Singing it over and over to myself. The day before, I received a call that shook my world, and I didn’t know how to react. It left me numb and frozen.

The doctor said, “it’s positive.” I said, what does that mean? She said it’s Cancer!

The lump

I had just returned from a beautiful trip to Puerto Rico in January 2020. I’m on a mission to see the world and live life to the fullest. Only fun things were on my agenda. During my menstrual cycle in early February, I noticed a pain in my left breast. I noticed a lump. It was sensitive to the touch and raised. Never have I ever, noticed or experienced it. I ignored it for a few days until I got nervous and called a doctor. This would be my first mammogram or formal breast exam. I didn’t know what was going on, and I just knew I needed this examined and fast!

Because this was a first for me, I googled a doctor near my Job and scheduled an appointment. After my cycle, the inflammation in the lump reduced. And the sensitivity went away. Two weeks later I got a call from the doctor saying that they had a cancelation and I could come later that day. I dropped everything at work and went to this appointment.

During my examination, the doctor saw the area of concern by doing a simple sonogram. It didn’t appear to be a cyst, so she sent me for a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy—all things I had never done before.

Sickness has never been an issue

I’m so thankful for my good health. Illness has never been a constant issue of mine. Maybe one cold a year (if that and an occasional stomach bug, from something questionable that I ate. I’m usually taking care of the family around me because “I’m fine!” Today was different. I was nervous and unsure of what was going on in my body!

This discovery was a wake-up call to pay more attention to my body and overall health. I hate to be paranoid, but I am surely going to be more intentional with my body and the things I consume. I can’t blame myself; it’s life and some things you have to go through; there’s no avoiding it.

Cancer is something I’ve seen in the lives of others but never expected it for myself. My grandmother, aunt, and mother have all experienced breast cancer or a cancer scare at some point in their life. The many other women in my life are well. My path will be cancer-free and prosperous.

I speak life to this situation, remembering that “God is doing great work”, in me. Universe, I have a lot of living left to do. The doctor will remove Cancer from my body, and I will have no other issues.

  • I will not be doing chemotherapy!
  • I am…
    • Healed
    • Cancer Free with both breasts intact!
    • a testimony for others facing conflicts
  • I am blessed, alive and well
  • I am manifesting my healing, right now!
